So, while most non-dairy options simply start by substituting milk with almond or cashew milk; every flavor in our Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection begins with a core ingredient, like real pieces of Belgian chocolate, actual peanut butter, or real coconut cream. We utilize the natural components of these ingredients in the place of common non-dairy substitutes. The result? Indulgent non-dairy flavors with a creamier texture and an authentic taste that shines through.
Good news! Our non-dairy collection just received Vegan Action certification! Look out for the Vegan Action logo on the front of our packaging beginning Summer 2019. This mark signifies that our Häagen-Dazs Non-Dairy products meet the Vegan standards.
Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection has been crafted without any dairy ingredients. But we recommend individuals with sensitivities to dairy or allergen restrictions to dairy should follow up with their healthcare professionals for additional guidance before indulging in our non-dairy flavours.
Canadian regulations require that Ice Cream have cream, milk or other milk products as part of its composition. Frozen Dessert is not required to contain dairy ingredients. Our Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy Frozen Desserts have been specifically crafted without any dairy ingredients.
Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection will be available across Canada in several stores including Sobeys, Metro, Walmart, Loblaws, FreshCo, IGA, Safeway and Save on Foods.

Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection does not contain artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.
Häagen-Dazs® is committed to using only the best ingredients the world has to offer. So we knew we had to act when the bees that pollinate one-third of the foods we eat, including many of the ingredients we use every day, started to struggle. To date, we’ve donated more than $1,000,000 to keep them buzzing, and to keep our ice cream as sweet as it’s always been. In our latest effort, we worked with Xerces to install the largest, privately funded pollinator habitat on the farmland of our almond supplier in California’s Central Valley. The newly-planted habitat consists of six and a half miles of hedgerow and 11,000 native drought-tolerant shrubs and flowering plants, impacting 840 acres of farmland.

A key sustainability initiative of the Häagen-Dazs® production team is to guarantee zero waste to land fill when crafting the Häagen-Dazs® ice cream. Essentially, we do not send any waste from the London, Ontario factory to landfill. We have an extensive recycling program, and what doesn’t get composted is sent to farms to feed animals. The recycled material is sent to an incineration site, where they generate energy from the waste sent.
You’ve been without these extraordinary non-dairy flavours long enough, we wouldn’t dare keep them from you again. These flavours will be available across Canada all year long.
Our Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection is pasteurized. The flavours are all heat-treated, which means that the product is pasteurized through a high temperature short time heat exchanger.
Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection is Orthodox Union-Kosher Dairy certified due to being produced on equipment also used for making dairy products.
We’re happy to say that our delicious non-dairy collection is palm oil free!
Yes, our non-dairy collection is now gluten-free! This means that these products have been validated to not contain gluten as part of their ingredients.
Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection has not been validated for the absence of peanut and tree nut ingredients. Please always ensure to read the label and ingredient list and allergen labelling.
Certain naturally-occurring molecules in soybean oil (called plant sterols) from our dark chocolatey coating look very similar to cholesterol when being measured for nutrition values. Therefore, we have reported a low level of cholesterol in our product but we are actively working towards a solution with our suppliers to provide clearer nutrition information about the source of cholesterol in these products.
